This traditional proscenium theatre, with a capacity of 285 seats, is an intimate space with unobstructed views and a back row that sits only 50 feet from the stage, The stage is 30 feet wide and 40 feet deep, including a 13-foot deep apron. The theatre has a scene shop adjacent to the stage and plenty of dressing room space. The lobby is licensed and refreshments are served by our Encores café staff.
The Studio Theatre is a state-of-the-art black box-style theatre. The theatre's movable raked seating allows for many stage configurations, including thrust, in the round, and the traditional front view. This seating can be removed entirely to allow for video and film shoots, or special events. The capacity for the theatre ranges from 100-200 depending on the use of the theatre.
The equipment list for this theatre is extensive and allows for maximum creativity in sound and lighting design. The theatre's stage is 40 feet wide by 30 feet deep, and the proximity of the audience creates an intimate environment for all types of performance.
