Eileen Kernaghan
Eileen Kernaghan has been involved with the arts in Burnaby since the mid-sixties, and for over a decade has taught Writer’s Workshop: Manuscripts at The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Her seventh fantasy novel, The Alchemist’s Daughter, was a finalist for the 2005 Sheila A. Egoff Children’s Literature prize. She also won the 2001 Aurora Award for the best Canadian speculative novel in English with her fantasy story The Snow Queen. Eileen’s newest novel Wild Talent: A Novel of the Supernatural will be released in 2008 and a new edition of The Sarsen Witch was released in August 2007. Shauna Paull
Shauna is a poet, community researcher and teacher. Her work has appeared in numerous literary journals across the country. She received an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC and is a founding member of milieu, a new forum for women writers in Canada. Shauna is celebrating the launch of her new book of poems roughened in undercurrent published by Leaf Press.
