The Shadbolt Centre is one of the finest equipped dance facilities in the Lower Mainland. The Centre has five separate studios (100, 101, 102, 200 and 201) with resilient foam-backed tarquet surface floors. The studios have their own sound system and floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
The Centre has six private music studios: studios 203, 204, 205, 206, 207, and 208. All of these studios are equipped with an upright piano and some include views of Deer Lake Park. These rooms are ideally suited for composing, video editing, and recording.
“Participating in the firing process at the Shadbolt’s wood fire kiln, standing mesmerized watching the flames and holding the final result was worth all the early struggles with centering, throwing and pulling those initial ‘freeform’ pieces.”
