Halifax native Kevin Fox is a revered multi-instrumentalist, sought-after
arranger/composer and recording artist, and has been dubbed “Canada’s most ubiquitous side-man”. Awareness of Kevin’s talents as a singer/songwriter quickly spread with the release of his debut album Come Alive, and since then Kevin has established a continually growing fan base. In 2008 Kevin released his second album, Songs for Cello and Voice, which earned much critical praise – “a beautiful record!” (CBC Radio 1); “remarkably evocative” (Toronto Star); “a stunning achievement” (Wholenote) – and further developed his unique fusion of classical instrumentation into original popular music. On Songs for Cello and Voice, Kevin combines his signature instrument which he skilfully bows, plucks, taps and loops, with his charismatic voice, to create a unique and captivating musical tapestry of cello-driven folk/pop.

Ali and Ali creators turn their idiosyncratic brand of post-identity satire to the whole new world: the global economy has tanked, the President of the World’s middle name is Hussein and, in Canada, five Arab/Muslim men continue to be held without charges and access to the evidence against them. And there’s that crazy climate change thing, not to mention the soon to be subjugation of Western peoples at the hands of the Red Chinese. How do you cope with all that? Easy. Go see Ali and Ali. Hey, if it’s smart to bailout the companies that brought us the Hummer, then two refugees from the well-known Middle Eastern Country of Agraba (see Disney’s Aladdin) are just what the doctor ordered...
